The items in this collection include abstract and semi-realistic paintings in oil on canvas. For many years I was hesitent to try oil colors as I did not have any formal training and the medium seemed a bit daunting to handle. The first ever painting I did in oil medium was a sunset while watching a training video by Bob Ross on YouTube. It turned out well and gave me some confidence. I used traditional techniques in the earliest ones, but started experimenting with new techniques over the years as can be seen in some of my more recents collections.
The latest series in this collection is titled Flames.

The series titled Impending Doom was done after an anaphylactic attack which landed me in the emergency twice in a row over a period of three days. This happened after an unwanted surgery that had severe side-effects on my body and my mind. After the incident I was feeling quite depressed and alone. Art came to my rescue and I painted non-stop until I recovered. Soon I decided to travel to Kashmir, where I continued to paint. It was a wonderful trip during which I also did my first solo painting exhibition in Srinagar. The show was hosted by the Jammu & Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages.

The following two paintings were in response to a brutal gang rape and murder of a young woman known as Nirbhaya (the fearless) in Delhi in December 2012. The incident shook the nation, India, and was followed by massive protests in entire country and international outrage.
