My experiment with the pastels began while raising my toddler child. It was handy, easy and without mess. I did not have to clean up after I was done. While I continued to enjoy the abstract art in various media, I would occasionally draw something more realistic, inspired by something from the surroundings.

The Lotus series was inspired by a visit to my hometown in Kashmir during a shikara ride in the famous Dal Lake.
